Sex is a tricky thing, convoluted by emotion and lust. It’s something we learn to navigate, typically at a very young age when perhaps we don’t have a good sense of boundaries or self-worth. Perhaps you said yes when you weren’t ready. Perhaps you said no, or nothing at all. Maybe it was an act of self-destruction. Maybe the relationship was complicated. Maybe what happened was black and white, or maybe it was more obscure. Maybe there was blame, or maybe there wasn’t– there doesn’t always have to be. Regardless, you get to feel however you feel. This song is how I feel, released from my spirit and relinquished to my art.
